また・まだ・すぐ・もう少し: Four Must-Know Adverbs

'また' means again, 'まだ' means not yet -- one dakuten apart but opposite in meaning. Add すぐ and もう少し to master four essential N5 adverbs.

These four adverbs show up constantly in N5 exams and everyday conversation. また and まだ are especially tricky -- they differ by just one dakuten but mean completely different things.

また: Again, Once More

Indicates doing something again -- the action happened before, and you want to repeat it.

まだ: Not Yet, Still

Expresses urgency or immediacy.
