Meaning
The pattern つもり expresses a plan or decision that has been carefully thought through beforehand. The verb must be in dictionary form. To express the intention not to do something, use the negative form of the verb (ない form) + つもりです. This pattern conveys a stronger, more resolute commitment than similar patterns like 〜と思っています.
