〜といわず〜といわず

Meaning

This pattern gives two representative examples to express that not only Noun 1 and Noun 2, but everything else as well, shares the same quality or condition. It means "whether... or...; all of them without exception."

1. 駅前は、昼といわず夜といわず騒がしい。
   The area in front of the station is noisy whether it is day or night.

2. 公園で遊んでいた弟は手といわず足といわず泥だらけになっていた。
   My younger brother, who had been playing in the park, was covered in mud from his hands to his feet.

3. えみちゃんの家は、玄関といわずリビングといわず、くまのぬいぐるみで埋めつくされている。
   Emi's house is filled with teddy bears everywhere, from the entrance to the living room.

   In my family, whether children or adults, everyone loves reading manga and novels.
