〜ても知らない

Meaning

This pattern is used when the speaker gives advice or a warning to the listener. It is used when continuing a certain action will lead to a bad outcome. The speaker is essentially saying "if you keep doing that, don't come crying to me" or "I won't take responsibility."

1. こんなに夜遅くまで起きてるなんて、朝起きられなくても知らないよ。
   Staying up this late at night -- if you can't get up in the morning, don't blame me.

2. 母：こたつで寝ないで布団で寝なさい。風邪をひいても知りませんよ。娘：はい。
   Mother: Don't sleep under the kotatsu -- go sleep in your futon. If you catch a cold, don't come to me.
   Daughter: Okay.

3. 貴重品はカバンの中にちゃんとしまいなさい。盗まれても知りませんよ。
   Put your valuables away properly in your bag. If they get stolen, that's your problem.

4. 立ち入り禁止の空き地で遊んだなんて、持ち主に見つかって怒られても知らないよ。
   Playing in a vacant lot that's off-limits -- if the owner finds you and gets angry, don't expect any sympathy from me.
