〜にたえる/〜にたえない

Express that something is worth doing, unbearable, or intensely felt with にたえる and にたえない.

Meaning

「…にたえる」indicates that something is worth the effort of doing. It means "fully worthy of ~" or "able to withstand ~." 「…にたえない」has two usages: (1) the opposite of にたえる, meaning something is not worth doing or is too terrible to bear; (2) expressing an overwhelming emotion that cannot be contained, meaning "extremely ~."
