Meaning

ばかりか indicates escalation or addition, meaning 'not only... but also...' or 'not just... even...'. It is similar to ばかりでなく, but differs in that the following clause cannot contain statements of intention, commands, or requests. Words like も, まで, or さえ often appear after ばかりか to emphasize the addition.
